The award nominations will close on Friday, April 14th at 4:30 PM. If you have colleagues you would like to recognize, now is the time. The categories and criteria are:
- Outstanding New Professional-
- Meritorious service in ICCSSA student services within the first five (5) years of service
- Demonstrated competence in any area of student services.
- Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
- Leadership in community and college affairs.
- Active participation/leadership in ICCSSA, other professional organizations, committees and/or work groups.
- Outstanding potential as a student affairs/student development/higher education professional.
- Distinguished Service Award
- Meritorious service in student affairs, student development, and/or higher education for a minimum of six (6) years.
- High level of experience in one or more areas of student services.
- High stature among and strong support of students, staff, faculty, and administrators on his/her own campus.
- Effective development of junior staff members and/or student workers.
- Significant contributions to the sub-group area which may include presentations at professional meetings.
- Leadership in community and college affairs.
- Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
- Leadership in the Iowa Community College Student Services Association and/or in other professional organizations.
- Outstanding Service Award
- This award is presented to a member of the Iowa Community College Student Services Association who has demonstrated outstanding participation/leadership in furthering the goals and objectives of ICCSSA.
