Last call for award nominations!

The award nominations will close on Friday, April 14th at 4:30 PM.  If you have colleagues you would like to recognize, now is the time.  The categories and criteria are:

  • Outstanding New Professional-
    • Meritorious service in ICCSSA student services within the first five (5) years of service
    • Demonstrated competence in any area of student services.
    • Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
    • Leadership in community and college affairs.
    • Active participation/leadership in ICCSSA, other professional organizations, committees and/or work groups.
    • Outstanding potential as a student affairs/student development/higher education professional.
  • Distinguished Service Award
    • Meritorious service in student affairs, student development, and/or higher education for a minimum of six (6) years.
    • High level of experience in one or more areas of student services.
    • High stature among and strong support of students, staff, faculty, and administrators on his/her own campus.
    • Effective development of junior staff members and/or student workers.
    • Significant contributions to the sub-group area which may include presentations at professional meetings.
    • Leadership in community and college affairs.
    • Effective, innovative response to the varied and emerging needs of students.
    • Leadership in the Iowa Community College Student Services Association and/or in other professional organizations.
  • Outstanding Service Award
    • This award is presented to a member of the Iowa Community College Student Services Association who has demonstrated outstanding participation/leadership in furthering the goals and objectives of ICCSSA.

 

The nomination form will be open through Friday, April 14th at 4:30 P.M.
